Name: Kenneth L. Green Date: July 20th, 2010 Death Notice: Mr. Kenneth L. Green, age 77, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 and was welcomed into the loving arms of his heavenly family. He was born September 22, 1932 in Muskegon to Earl “George” and Mary (York) Green. Ken lived all of his life in the Muskegon area, but enjoyed wintering in Florida. He worked for over 30 years as a truck driver for A & C Carriers, before retiring in 1993, and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. Ken was a member of Unity Reformed Church. On June 8, 1951 he married the former Alida “Lila” Kooi, and just celebrated 59 years together. Lila survives him along with 4 children, Kenneth (Patricia) Green, Jr., Laurie Braun-Shook (Floyd Shook), Jill Green, and Tracy (Steve) Groleau all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Matthew (Vicki) Green, Veronica (Doug) Fox, Valarie Green, John (Renee) Braun, Jason (Theresa) Braun, Ricky (Lisa) Collis, Jerry Collis, Courtney (Cam) Mertel and Jessica Groleau; and 7 great grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11AM Thursday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with Rev. Kyle DeYoung officiating.
