She was born in Muskegon on December 7, 1981 to Sherman and Joyce (Cole) Bates and was a life resident of the area. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Summer Renee Bates and Skylar Michelle Gray; her parents, Sherman and Joyce Bates; and 2 very special friends, Jamie Shetterly and Tom Sluter. A MEMORIAL LUNCHEON will be held 3 PM Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the home of Dave and June Dean, 8824 Indian Bay Road, in Montague.
