Death Notice:
Miss Bethany Grace Hagerman, age 3, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Bethany was born on October 30, 2006 in Flint, MI. Bethany leaves behind a testimony to God’s love and faithfulness. This “Little Princess” demonstrated unbelievable courage and strength in the face of her illness. She was a trooper during the treatment she endured always keeping her sense of humor that inspired the many people she met along her journey. Bethany was truly full of life and she showed her determination by dancing and singing her way through her illness – leaving people to question how she could possibly suffer from cancer. Bethany is survived by her very proud parents, Pastor Michael and Amy (Horne) Hagerman; her sisters, Kathryn and Audrey Hagerman who loved Bethany very much; maternal grandparents, Al and Marthann Horne; paternal grandmother, Patricia Hunt; aunts and uncles, Ben and Emily Horne, Drew Horne, Jodi and Tommy Wilson, Laura and Al Davis, Kenneth and Heather Woodward, Roger Hagerman and Josh Hagerman; and several close cousins and extended family. Bethany was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roger Hagerman. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Central Assembly of God (896 Home Street) with Rev. Dr. Gordon D. Aikin and Pastor Tom Mattiuzzo co-officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with Bethany’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the church.
